Environment
The Panjalu Organic Farmers Group is located in Kediri Regency, East Java. This area is a lowland rural region famous for rice farming and hereditary natural planting systems.

Land Characteristics:
● Rain-fed rice fields — relying on abundant seasonal rainwater during planting season.
● Fertile alluvial soil, formed from river mud deposits, suitable for organic rice cultivation.
● Farmers utilize self-made compost from straw waste and livestock manure, supporting sustainable farming concepts.
● No chemical pesticides are used, but rather botanical pesticides or integrated pest management techniques with refugia plants on the rice field embankments.
● Rice fields are generally flat, flanked by small water channels that maintain soil moisture.


Suasana Kampung:
● Mornings are covered with dew and the bustling sounds of field birds.
● The village atmosphere is rich with harmonious togetherness — residents help each other from planting, maintenance, to harvest.
● Around the rice fields, buffaloes or cows are often seen still being used to plow the fields traditionally.
● The environment is still pristine with shade trees along the village roads.
● Harvest results are processed together through a mutual cooperation system, strengthening social relationships among farmers.
